Conversion guide
From PDF to spreadsheet, step by step.
The converter separates extraction, interpretation, validation and export so that a readable table is never mistaken for a guaranteed result.
1. Select the original PDF
Choose a text-based or scanned bank statement up to 20 MB. You must own the document or be authorised to process it.
2. Accept the conversion terms
Before processing, the service records a minimal consent receipt. The receipt excludes your PDF, filename, bank name, account information and financial values.
3. Extract text or run OCR
Text-based PDFs are read directly. Pages with insufficient embedded text are rendered and processed with optical character recognition in the browser. OCR is slower and normally needs closer review.
4. Detect the statement structure
The converter looks for transaction headers, dates, descriptions, amounts, debit and credit direction, currency, fees, running balances, opening balance, ending balance and available summary totals.
5. Validate and review
When sufficient controls exist, the tool compares opening balance plus credits minus debits with the ending balance. Missing fields or differences trigger a visible review warning. You can edit extracted transaction cells before exporting.
6. Download Excel or CSV
Populated, relevant information is exported. Excel may include Transactions, Statement Summary, Daily Balances, bank-specific breakdowns, Validation and Conversion Receipt sheets. Empty bank-specific sheets are omitted.
