How BankStatementConverter.biz handles website information while keeping your bank-statement contents on your device.
Effective and last updated: 23 August 2026
1. Who operates this website
BankStatementConverter.biz (“Bank Statement Converter”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is operated by Manish Shah, an individual proprietor. India is the governing jurisdiction for these website terms. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to theonlineentrepreneurship@gmail.com.
2. Bank statements and local processing
The converter is designed to process PDF bank statements inside your web browser. The contents of the statement are not intentionally uploaded to or stored on our application servers. Text extraction, OCR, review and Excel or CSV generation occur on your device.
Do not email us an original or unredacted bank statement. If you report a conversion problem, remove names, addresses, account numbers, card numbers and other identifying information before sending a sample.
3. Information that may be processed
Although statement contents remain local, ordinary website operation may involve technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, referring page, visited pages, timestamps, security events and cookie or consent identifiers. If you contact us, we process the information contained in your message and your email address.
4. Consent receipts
Before every statement conversion, we record a minimal server-side consent receipt. It contains a random receipt ID, server timestamp, pseudonymous browser identifier, legal-document versions and fingerprints, acceptance method, website domain and scheduled deletion date. It does not contain the PDF, filename, bank name, account details, transactions, financial values, email address or raw IP address.
Each receipt provides evidence of the click-through agreement for that conversion and is scheduled for deletion after 24 months. Its receipt details are included with the related conversion export.
5. Why information is used
- To deliver, secure and maintain the website.
- To record and demonstrate acceptance of the applicable legal terms.
- To respond to support, privacy and security enquiries.
- To diagnose errors and prevent abuse.
- To understand website performance using consented analytics, if enabled.
- To display and measure Google AdSense advertising, subject to applicable consent requirements.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights.
6. Cookies, advertising and analytics
Essential technologies may be used for security, the pseudonymous browser identifier and user choices. Google AdSense is connected to the website. Google and its partners may use cookies, IP addresses, web beacons or similar identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Where required, a Google-certified consent-management platform will gather the applicable choice before personalised advertising technologies are used.
Review our Cookie Policy and Google’s advertising privacy information.
7. Service providers and international processing
Website hosting, security, email, consent management, analytics and advertising providers may process limited website data on our behalf or for their own stated purposes. Their systems may operate in countries other than yours. Their handling is also governed by their own terms and privacy notices.
8. Retention
We do not set a server-retention period for statement contents because the converter does not intentionally receive them. Consent receipts are scheduled for automatic deletion after 24 months. Support emails are retained only as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, prevent abuse or meet legal obligations. Hosting, security and advertising providers apply their own documented retention periods.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or information about personal data we control, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent. Email theonlineentrepreneurship@gmail.com. We may need reasonable information to verify and fulfil a request.
10. Children
The service is not directed to children under 18 and is intended for people who are legally able and authorised to handle the relevant financial document. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information.
11. Security and changes
We use a privacy-minimising, browser-based design, but no website or device can be guaranteed completely secure. See our Security & Local Processing page. We may update this policy when the service, providers or legal requirements change and will revise the date above.
